Handa ka na ba to buy your first stocks? ;)
Pero teka, May pondo na ba ang iyong COL Financial account? Kung wala pa, basahin mo muna ITO.
Kung may pondo na ang iyong account, pwede ka ng bumili ng iyong unang stocks.
Maaari tayong bumili ng stocks even the market is open or closed. Ngunit ngayong araw pag-usapan muna natin kung paano bumili ng stocks sa COL Financial if the market is open(9:30 AM to 12:00 PM & 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM). Then, sa next post naman, pag-usapan natin kung paano bumili ng stocks if the market is closed.
Note: Marami tayong maeencounter na mga financial jargons & codes pero don’t worry,hindi naman lahat ay kailangan natin kung tayo ay bibili ng stocks. Mag-focus lang muna tayo sa mga terms na magagamit natin to buy stocks. Read my previous post about familiarization of COL Financial trading platform, click HERE.
Narito ang step-by-step procedure kung paano bumili ng stocks using the COL Financial trading platform.
Paano bumili ng Stocks with COL Financial?
(Part 1: If the market is open)
STEP 1 : Punta ka sa website ng COL Financial at www.colfinancial.com
STEP 2 : Punan ang log-in details, enter your 8-digit user ID & password, pagkatapos, i-click ang LOG IN
This screen appears.
STEP 3 : i-Click ang “Trade” tab, pagkatapos, i-click ang “Enter Order” tab.
(Since hindi ko naaabutang open ang market dahil nandito ako sa saudi, As for example purpose only, hiniram ko muna ang screen shot from Ms. Joey of (colmejoey.blogspot.com). Thanks Ms Joey! ;)
If the Market is OPEN, This screen appears. see the image below.

STEP 4 : Punan ang mga kinakailangang detalye.Tingnan ang halimbawa sa ibaba.

- Transaction : Since tayo ay bibili, i-click ang “BUY”.
- Board : i-Click ang “MAIN” para sa main board kung saan walang butal ang lot size, meaning, multiples of 10, 100, 1000, and so on. Sa kabilang banda, Ang ODDLOT naman ay para sa mga may butal na lot size at mas mababa sa main board, halimbawa, 9, 198, 1027, etc.( This can only be traded in the Odd Lot Market & the pricing scheme is higher than the Main Market).
- Term : Mayroong 3 types ng order at ito ang mga sumusunod.
* DAY: Limit-Day Orders.
Ang order na ito ay valid lamang sa loob ng isang araw at kapag “open” lang ang market. Halimbawa, gusto mong bumili ng share ng BDO sa halagang 78.00 per share. Kapag ang market price ay 78.50, it will proceed with the trade.kapag ang market price naman ay 78.00, still, it will proceed with the trade, pero kung ang market price nito ay 79.00, it will NOT proceed with the trade.Kapag hindi nag-proceed ang trade, the order is cancelled.
* GTC : Good Till Cancel.
Halos pareho din ito ng DAY order, ang pagkakaiba nga lang, dito sa GTC ang iyong order ay valid for 7 days. Halimbawa, you place a GTC order para sa BDO sa halagang 78.00 per share sa araw ng Lunes. Kung ang Price Range nung Martes ay 79.0-80.0, No Trade. Kung ang Price Range nung Miyerkules ay 78.2 – 80.2, No Trade. Kung ang Price Range nung Huwebes ay 77.5 – 78.0, then, the trade will happen on Thursday. Kuha mo? ;)
* ATC : At The Close.
Since hindi ko pa ito nagagawa, hindi muna natin ito tatalakayin sa ngayon.
- Stock Code: Ito ay binubuo ng 2 hanggang 5 letra na nagrerepresents sa mga publicly-listed companies. Halimbawa, ang stock code ng MERALCO ay MER, ang JOLLIBEE ay JFC, ang AYALA CORPORATION ay AC, etc. Kung gusto mo makita ang listahan ng lahat ng companies, click mo lang ang link for Stock code. Pag may napili ka na, i-close mo lang ang window, then i-type mo na yung code ng kumpanya na nais mong bilhin at i-press mo ang “Tab” (not Enter), then mag-aappear sa window yung details ng stock na napili mo. Don’t panic sa dami ng terms na makikita natin. mag- focus lang tayo sa mga terms na magagamit natin sa pagbili ng stocks.(as for example, ang napili natin ay ang Ayala Land, Inc. na may stock code na ALI).

- # of Shares : ilagay ang bilang ng shares ng kumpanya na nais mong bilhin. Tandaan, ang # of shares ay nakadepende sa nakalaang boardlot para dito, kaya ugaliing tingnan kung anong boardlot ang naka-assign dito. The Boardlot is the “minimum # of shares” you can buy or sell.
Halimbawa, nais nating bumili ng shares ng Ayala Land, Inc.(ALI), ang boardlot ng ALI ay “100”, ibig sabihin pwede lamang tayong bumili ng shares nito in a multiples of 100.Maaari tayong bumili ng 100, 200, 300, 400 and so on...shares of ALI. (Ang boardlot ay depende sa presyo ng partikular na stocks, so different prices means different boardlots).
- Price : tandaan, we buy at ASK, we sell at BID. Para mangyari ang trade(either buy or sell), dapat na magkasundo ang buyer at seller(bid price=ask price) kaya ang system ay interesado lamang sa pinakamataas na “buying price” at pinakamababang “selling price”. Since tayo ay bibili, ang pipiliin nating presyo, syempre ay ang pinakamababa sa ASK column (for example purpose, ang makikita nating pinakamababang presyo ng ALI na makikita sa ASK column ay 26.30)
STEP 5 : i-Click ang Preview Order button.
STEP 6 : i-review mo ang iyong order at kung sa tingin mo ay tama naman ang lahat ng mga detalye, i-Enter mo ang password mo at i-click ang Place Buy Order button. (pwede mo rin i-cancel ang iyong order by clicking the “Cancel order” button).
STEP 7: i-click mo ang Trading History or pwede rin ang View Order Status kung nais mong ma-verify ang iyong order. Kung nais mo namang bumili pa ulit ng stocks, click mo lang ang Place another order button at ulitin lang ang mga naunang steps.
Kapag nag-matched o nag-proceed ang iyong order, makakatanggap ka ng “Acknowledgement Notice” mula sa COL Financial sa loob ng 24 oras sa iyong COL account.
That’s it pansit! :) nakabili ka na ng iyong unang stocks! :)
