Madalas sa ating mga pinoy, aminin natin, may mga taong may "scarcity mentality". sila yung mga taong parating nagrereklamo sa buhay. Pakiramdam nila, laging may kulang at pinagkakaitan sila lagi ng tadhana. Walang mga oportunidad na dumarating sa kanila. Wala silang "swerte" ika nga nila.

Sa kabilang banda, may mga tao namang may "abundance mentality" na laging nakakakita ng oportunidad sa lahat ng pagkakataon. may positibong pananaw sa buhay, kaya naman mas nilalapitan ng "swerte" or mas magandang sabihin na "bunga" ito ng kanilang pagsisikap. dahil ang taong may abundance mindset ay may "positive thinking" at sinasamahan ng "positive actions" kaya naman, may "positive results"! :)

Believe in Your Capacity To Make Money

Remember that your perception of yourself is your reality. 

How you define yourself will how you will act.  If you believe that you’re lazy, inept, weak, dim-witted individual—that’s how you will act.  Your definition of yourself are self-fulfilling prophecies.  Why?  Because as human beings, one of our greatest needs is consistency.  You will find yourself acting consistently with your self-concept and self-definition.

          My most vivid experience with this incredible truth came during my student life many years ago.

All my life, I defined myself as a C-student.  My most sublime goal in school was to get a grade passed 75%.  Why?  Because that was my self-concept.  I never saw myself as academic, studious, or intelligent.  That wasn’t me…

       But something happened along the way.  On my third year in college, I had to quit to work full-time for a community project.  One day, someone asked me if I wanted to take up post-graduate studies in theology as night classes.  I told him I wasn’t qualified because I wasn’t a college graduate.  But when the Dean of the school talked to me and learned of my volunteer work, he said I could take the course if I wanted to.  They’d just keep my Masters diploma until I finish my college degree.

       But in those classes, I was surrounded by priests, nuns, and seminarians, and my mind was challenged. 

And my paradigm-shift took place after my first exam.  Our professor wrote down on the blackboard the five top students of the test.  I wasn’t even paying attention until someone tapped my shoulder to take a look.  I found my name in number one position, beside the words, “perfect score”.  I couldn’t believe my eyes.

Bago ka magsimulang bumili ng iyong unang stock, alamin muna natin ang mga basic terminologies & codes na maeencounter natin sa pag-browse natin sa COL website. Hindi naman mahalaga na i-memorize mo ang lahat ng ito, dahil hindi naman lahat ay magagamit natin sa ating investing strategy at para din hindi magmukhang kumplikado ang pag-iinvest natin. 1. STOCK CODE or STOCK SYMBOL

Sa Stock Market, bawat kumpanya ay may naka-assign na code o symbol para dito. Ito ay kadalasang binubuo ng isa hanggang limang letra o kumbinasyon ng letra at numero. Ang ilang halimbawa ay ang mga sumusunod :

How does the Stock Market work?

 Ang Philippine Stock Market ay binubuo ng apat na grupo, ito ay ang mga sumusunod:

1. INVESTORS –  Ito ang mga tao o kumpanya na mayroong pag-aaring “shares” ng mga publicly-listed companies sa Philippine Stock Exchange o PSE. Tinatawag din ito na Stockholder o Shareholder .

2. TRADING PARTICIPANTS (or STOCK BROKERS) –  Mayroong dalawang uri ng Stock Broker , ito ay ang Traditional Stock Broker at ang Online Stock Broker (see “Stock Market for beginners”). Sila ang nagsisilbing agent o ahente sa pagitan ng mga “buyers & sellers” ng stocks ng mga publicly-listed companies. Ang mga Trading Participants(or Stock Brokers) ay miyembro ng Philippine Stock Exchange(PSE) at licensed ng Security and Exchange Commision(SEC) at siyang otorisado upang mag-execute ng buy & sell on behalf of the investors.
